The moderating role of board gender diversity in association of board characteristics and firm value

The present study investigates the relationship between board characteristics and a firm value. offers new insight into association value by examining whether gender diversity alters impact of on uses panel data approach sample 39 non-financial firms listed in S&P BSE SENSEX 50 over 6 years (2014–2015 to 2019–2020). An appropriate model fixed effect random was selected using Hausman test first two separate regressions were run later, showing direct value, change when put as moderator. Consistent with previous findings (Field, Lowry, & Mkrtchyan, 2013; Vo Bui, 2017; Gulzar, Haque, Khan, 2020), reveals that busyness has significant positive Tobin’s Q only, whereas, meetings are factors leave negative both return assets (ROA) Q. In contrast existing literature (Chin, Ganesan, Pitchay, Haron, Hendayani, 2019), we found positively moderates size ROA, respectively.
